Jadavpur University Campus Facilities and Infrastructure

Jadavpur University provides world-class infrastructure to assist its students in their studies. A student can enjoy several facilities at Jadavpur University like Library, Hostel, Labs, Health Centre, Guest House, Sports Facilities, Day Care Centre, and Other Facilities. Library: The central library is a three-story building. It has a total of 36,000 square feet of shelf space and a working area. For bound volumes of journals, there are 700 seats available in seven reading rooms, known as carrels. A separate library can be found on Salt Lake's Second Campus. The Jadavpur University library is 6,500 square feet in size.
Hostel: Hostel for Boys has 1254 beds in total. Girls Hostel has 622 beds available. Both of these hostels are located inside the campus. There are 13 hostels with a total capacity of around 1600 students (4 for girls and 9 for boys). Student housing extensions and new buildings are being considered. Moreover, there is an exclusive hostel for research scholars. The student's mess committee is in charge of the hostel mess, which is overseen by the Superintendent of each hostel.
Labs: Jadavpur University assists its students by offering various labs equipped with all the latest equipment required for studies. There are 24 labs present at the time of writing and these are SAP Lab, Discrete Circuit Lab, VLSI CAD Lab, PC Lab, Xeon Lab, Civil Engineering Lab, Fibre Optic Communication Lab, Electronics Lab, Film Characterisation Lab, Concrete Lab, Physics Lab, CAD Lab, Mechanical Lab, Microprocessor Lab, AI Lab, Power Systems Lab, Comp. Curve Lab, Structural Lab, Materials Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab1, Control Systems Lab, Solid Mechanics Lab, and Instrumentation Lab.
Health Centre: All students have easy access to the health centre, which is located on campus. A full-time Medical Superintendent, part-time qualified General Medicine, Eye, E.N.T., Skin, Dental, and Pathology specialists, and a qualified part-time lady doctor staff the facility. To obtain their health card, students must present their fees book as well as a passport-size photograph to the centre. All consultations and medications are provided at no cost to the students.
Guest House: Jadavpur University has a guest room building inside the campus where students can facilitate their parents or guardians. The guest house has 90 double bedrooms. 3 double bet plus ac rooms, and two single rooms.
Sports Facilities: At Jadavpur University students can pursue their favourite sports. The university facilitates several sports grounds such as Athletic Track, Volleyball Courts, Badminton Court, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Outdoor Stadium, Kabaddi Court, Basketball Court, Indoor Stadium, Playground, Cricket Ground, and Kho-Kho field.
Day Care Centre: The daycare centre is a completely refurbished and fully furnished apartment which has three large rooms, one dining area, kitchen, two toilets, and one balcony. Moreover, it has a small play area with fencing, a refrigerator, microwave oven, water purifier, music system, a trained ayah, centre coordinator, and other necessities.

Jadavpur University provides complete financial assistance to cover the educational costs of students from the middle and lower-middle income groups. Hi.....I am not aware about the fee structure of this institute. Lovely Professional University is one of the premier institutions of international repute and an avant - garde campus spread over 600 acres on the outskirts of Jalandhar City. LPU has to its credit, renowned National and International accreditations and recognitions which are the manifestation of its global standards. LPU is also known for its rich cultural diversity as students hail from all the states of India and almost 39 countries of the world. The basic fee for BTech at LPU is Rs 1,20,000 per semester. At LPU, the fee varies as per the calibre of the student. Every year top international students of the highest calibre and with outstanding achievements get LPU SCHOLARSHIPS on tuition fees for the complete duration of the regular programme. The scholarship percentage varies programme-wise as per the students' scores. The scholarship is offered in all the programmes in order to provide financial benefit to bright and deserving students. During last year, LPU has granted scholarships worth INR 100+ crores to students (maximum up to 6 lacs per student) to pursue their education. At LPU scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance in the eligibility qualification: i.e. on the basis of performance in10+2 , LPUNEST score, certain national level tests (like JEE (Mains), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT, MAT etc.), scholarship based on Innovation, Startup & Entrepreneurship, performance in sports, cultural, R&D, co-curricular, social service and bravery awards, for toppers of centre and state boards. LPU NEST 2023 Application Form has been released via online mode. Exam Dates have been announced. It stands for Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test. LPU NEST exam is conducted in different slots from January and April onwards. It is a university level entrance exam which is conducted for various courses including B.Tech, MBA, B Pharm, MLT, Hons programs etc. Candidates who want to get admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes can enrol in the exam. No. of LPU graduates are working at various MNC’s at high paying packages across the globe.
